Description
Fresh, prepared meals designed with nutrition in mind
ModifyHealth is a U.S. prepared-meal delivery service offering chef-created meals developed with registered dietitians. Its menu includes Mediterranean, Low-FODMAP, gluten-free, heart-friendly, diabetes-friendly, carb-conscious and other meal selections. The emphasis is on convenient meals with clearly listed ingredients, rather than purchasing supplements or making complicated recipes from scratch.
Low-FODMAP meals and Monash certification
The Low-FODMAP menu is designed for people following an evidence-based FODMAP protocol under appropriate guidance. ModifyHealth identifies its Low-FODMAP recipes as Monash University Low FODMAP Certified for the stated serving size. That certification applies to the relevant Low-FODMAP meals, not automatically to every menu on the site. Food tolerances are individual, and a structured low-FODMAP elimination and reintroduction approach should be planned with a qualified clinician or dietitian when used to manage gastrointestinal symptoms.
Examples from published menus include chicken with wild rice and green beans, salmon with vegetables, and plant-based bowls. Menus rotate; review the current ingredients, nutrition facts and allergens for each meal before ordering.
Mediterranean and other meal options
ModifyHealth also offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes that emphasize vegetables, whole grains, legumes and sources of unsaturated fat, along with other nutrition-focused menus. A Mediterranean label is not the same as a certified Low-FODMAP meal. Its heart-friendly, diabetes-friendly, gluten-free and other plans can have different nutritional targets. Select by the actual ingredients and nutrition information, not only the name of a meal plan.
Ingredients and our Yellow clean standard
ModifyHealth states that its meals are gluten-free and made without artificial colors or flavors, and that it uses organic ingredients as much as possible. Some recipes use ingredients such as olive oil, vegetables, rice, herbs and proteins raised without antibiotics, while other recipes include cheese, pasta, sauces or processed components. Ingredient lists and allergens vary by dish. We have not verified organic certification of the finished meals across the entire range.
Our classification is Yellow — Cleaner Step Up, not Green or Blue. Monash Low FODMAP certification establishes the low-FODMAP status of specified meals at the approved serving size; it is not an organic, allergen-free or universal non-toxic certification. Always check the exact meal label, especially with allergies, gluten-related conditions or medically prescribed dietary restrictions.
How the ordering and weekly delivery process works
Customers choose an eligible meal plan, select meals and delivery frequency, and receive prepared entrees that can be reheated at home. The company offers weekly subscriptions that can be changed, paused or canceled. The published cutoff for changes affecting the upcoming week’s delivery is Saturday at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time; later requests normally apply to the next week. Review the current checkout terms because ordering configurations can change.
Meals are delivered chilled in insulated packaging. Follow the package instructions for refrigeration, freezing, and thorough reheating. The company describes microwave and oven reheating methods; for conventional ovens it recommends transferring food to an oven-safe dish and heating to an internal temperature of 165°F.
Optional registered dietitian support
ModifyHealth offers virtual consultations with registered dietitian nutritionists in eligible states. These professional services are separate from the meal subscription and may have distinct payment or insurance arrangements. The company states that dietitian services are not currently available in every state, including Hawaii. Clinical nutrition guidance should be individualized rather than inferred from a general meal-service description.
Important Hawaii and Alaska delivery limitation
Confirm delivery eligibility directly before ordering. ModifyHealth’s official shipping terms describe delivery within the continental United States, while another section of its FAQ mentions free shipping to all 50 states. Because these statements conflict, we cannot confirm meal delivery to Hawaii or Alaska from the published policy alone. Ask ModifyHealth to confirm service for your ZIP code, shipping cost and arrival day before subscribing. P.O. boxes are excluded.
Perishable food returns and order concerns
Because the meals are perishable, ModifyHealth does not accept physical returns. Its written policy asks customers to contact customer service within seven days of receiving a delivery about missing, incorrect or damaged meals. Any credit, replacement or partial refund is evaluated case by case. For recurring deliveries, check the applicable cancellation deadline so a future shipment is not charged or prepared unexpectedly.
Before choosing your plan
Compare the current menu, ingredients, portion sizes, nutrition labels, subscription details, minimum meal quantity and destination eligibility. This service can simplify meal planning, but it is not a cure or substitute for medical evaluation or nutrition therapy. Our Shop Now link opens the official ModifyHealth explanation and meal-selection options. We leave the price blank because meal choices and plan configurations vary.
