Lockin makes keyless door locks that combine familiar access options with newer biometrics. Its Veno family includes touchless palm-vein recognition, app controls, numeric PINs, and mechanical backup keys. Selected models add cameras, video doorbells and solar charging. These products are best considered a smart-home convenience and security upgrade, not a guarantee that any door is immune to break-ins.
Which Lockin Veno smart lock should you consider?
Veno Pro: A video smart lock combining palm-vein and fingerprint entry with a wide-angle 2K camera, two-way doorbell communication, and 32GB of local video storage. It has an IP65-rated exterior, and the manufacturer describes BHMA Grade 2 hardware. An optional external solar panel is offered separately or as part of a bundle.
Veno Plus: Another camera-equipped model with palm-vein and fingerprint options. It provides a 180-degree 2K camera and 8GB of local storage, with a different IP53 exterior rating and Grade 3 hardware classification. Compare the exact model specifications before choosing.
Veno and Veno Go: Smart-deadbolt alternatives for shoppers interested in palm-vein recognition without a built-in camera. The Veno Go includes palm-vein, PIN, app, mechanical-key and compatible voice-assistant entry. The merchant publishes battery estimates, but real-world life depends on use and network conditions.
Veno Solar Palm and Solar Face: Models integrating a solar panel rather than relying only on an optional external panel. Palm and face recognition are different technologies, so choose the biometric method you actually want. Door fit and setup matter more than marketing
Before ordering, measure door thickness, crossbore and backset, examine the latch faceplate, and check the clearance around any existing handle. Many Veno models are designed for common U.S. single-cylinder deadbolt door preparations, but some video variants are unsuitable for storm doors, mortise configurations or round latch faceplates. Do not drill, remove your existing lock or assume compatibility until the exact model’s installation guide confirms the fit.
Smart home access, storage and privacy
Lockin offers its own app and Matter-based integrations with services such as Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa. A compatible Matter controller or Thread border router may be necessary for particular features. The company’s FAQ says biometric credentials are stored locally on supported locks, but remote commands through the Lockin Smart app can use cloud services. Review the privacy policy, account security settings and current firmware before activating network features. Keep a secure backup key and an emergency access plan.

Warranty, shipping and returns
Lockin currently publishes a one-year basic smart-lock warranty subject to exclusions. Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery when they meet the original-condition and packaging requirements and receive return authorization. Return shipping is generally the customer’s responsibility unless Lockin made an error. The official shipping policy currently limits orders to U.S. addresses and states that eligible U.S. orders may qualify for free standard delivery; availability and costs for individual destinations, including Hawaii, should be confirmed at checkout.
