Description
The Hume Body Pod goes beyond a traditional bathroom scale by pairing a tempered-glass platform with a handheld sensor for a more detailed view of body composition. Instead of focusing only on total weight, it helps you follow changes in body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, body water, metabolic age and other measurements over time.
A More Detailed View of Body Composition
The system uses contact points in both the scale and the handheld sensor to measure multiple areas of the body. Results are sent to the Hume Health app, where you can review current readings and follow longer-term trends.
This provides more context than weight alone. A stable number on the scale may still include changes in muscle, fat or water composition that become easier to understand when those measurements are viewed separately.
Metrics and Progress Tracking
The Hume Body Pod is designed to track measurements that may include:
- Weight and body mass index
- Body fat percentage
- Muscle mass
- Visceral and subcutaneous fat
- Body water
- Metabolic age
- Bone mass
- Segmental body-composition estimates
The Hume Health app organizes readings into reports and trend graphs, helping you compare changes over time instead of reacting to a single daily measurement.
Designed for Home Use
The rechargeable device connects to the Hume Health app through Bluetooth. Multiple household members can use the same Body Pod while maintaining separate personal profiles and measurement histories.
Basic weighing and body measurements are available through the app. Some advanced reports, coaching features and personalized insights may require a Hume Plus subscription.
Important Measurement Considerations
Like other bioelectrical impedance devices, readings may be affected by hydration, meals, exercise, time of day and measurement consistency. For more meaningful comparisons, use the device under similar conditions each time and focus on trends rather than a single reading.
The Hume Body Pod is intended as a wellness and progress-tracking tool. It should not replace professional medical testing, diagnosis or advice.
